Capabilities
|
The Student Services Educational Applications
(SSEA) has many capabilities. In addition to these specific
capabilities listed below, the data system used by DS/SSEA
has the following additional capabilities:
|
|
Adhoc inquiry into all databases. For example,
with a single line command you could produce a list
of all students, sorted by grade and name, with
totals for each grade. |
|
Multiple users can use all parts of the system
simultaneously. The system is designed for multi-user
operation. All data is on-line, so changes are effective
immediately. Furthermore, many users can enter changes
to the same files simultaneously without fear of
wiping out changes made by other users. |
|
File maintenance tools allow data files to be
checked without shutting down any part of the system,
and individual files can be shut down for maintenance
without effecting the rest of the system. |
|
Programming productivity tools allow programmers
to quickly interface applications directly to the
system. Programmer productivity is our strong point.
No matter who performs programming tasks on your
system (if any are necessary) the data system is
designed specifically to meet school district needs.
